Situated adjacent to the Manchester Ship Canal, the development is located to the east of Partington and to the south west of Manchester and is nine miles from the city centre.
Planning Permission Status
Planning permission was granted in 2008.
Peel provided a property solution and supported SAICA’s entry into the UK paper market. The Partington development was £290m of inward investment that create 200 jobs. The site was cleared in 2009 and the mill became operational in January 2012.
The plant is designed to produce around 400,000 tonnes per annum of recycled paper that can be used in the manufacture of corrugated boxes.
