The proposed development site comprises around 1.7 hectares (4.1 acres) of vacant land for which planning permission was granted in June 2016 for general industrial use; open/covered storage; and/or distribution.
The site is in a highly accessible location with good links to Junction 10 & 11 of the M60. The majority of the site comprises of previously developed land, which is being temporarily used by United Utilities as a construction compound. The site is located close to Trafford Park which has been the focus of economic growth and employment development for a number of years.
The site contributes to building a strong, responsive and competitive economy, by complementing business, commercial, retail, leisure and hotel uses in the area with potential to provide 185 new jobs during construction and operation.
