Peel Environmental’s plans for a £280ktpa Energy Centre at Kellingley Colliery, North Yorkshire, have been given the green light.

The £200 million Energy Centre will produce enough electricity to power around 63,000 homes (26 MW) and was approved by members of North Yorkshire County Council’s Planning and Regulatory Functions Committee on 2nd September.
